Meadow Lake Native Urban Housing has been providing Metis and First Nation peoples of Meadow and surrounding area with safe affordable housing since 1981. Meadow Lake currently manages 146 units and are scheduled to build two affordable duplexes in partnership with Meadow Lake KidsFirst.
Meadow Lake thinks of their tenants as family and pride themselves on developing good working relationships with tenants, neighbours and the community as a whole.
Meadow Lake Native Urban Housing Corp. is a fun, tenant-oriented, Métis Housing business that is proud and committed to providing affordable and well maintained homes for Métis people.
Additional support includes assistance with budgeting, home maintenance, etc. Tenant relations is in active engagement to maintain relationships with Elders in the community.
Meadow Lake’s tenant relations officers help bridge the gap between various service providers such as Social Services, KidsFirst and anywhere the tenant indicates they need assistance.
